Historical Events
- The dilithium foci of the Constellation (Enterprise class) shattered, killing Capt. Arkadi Lunov, the last surviving cruiser commander of the legendary “escape velocity” era.[1]
- USS Horizon, fresh from her post-war refit, embarks on the beginning of what will be a three-year deployment (ending in her destruction after departing Iotia).[2][3]
- The year of departure is conjecture. The source article indicates she had the first three-year sortie for the newly-refitted Daedaluses and her destruction in 2168 is established in the beta canon. She may have departed earlier, before this sortie, or later, being destroyed in 2168 before completing the assigned three-year mission.
