History

See also: Great Orion Empire
  • About 220,000 BCE: Some Orions from Pi-3 Orionis are transplanted to Rigel VII and flourish in the Enala river valley.[2]
  • About 203,000 BCE: Orion astronauts reach Rigel XIII and study the cosmic string located above the south pole.[2]
  • About 202,000 BCE: The Orions develop warp drive.[2]
There is no information as to why this planet wasn't destroyed.
  • 5,200 BCE: The Twelfth Orion Empire falls. The Orion caju collectively decide that galactic conquest is best left to lesser species and give up on overt rule.[[2][3][4]
  • 553: The Zami and Kaylar settle into their preferred parts of Rigel V, ending the general conflict, with the Zami entering into trade deals with the neighboring Orions.[2]

Important Locations

  • TBD

Notes

  • This is the original homeworld of the Kaylar, though they have been spread throughout the Rigellian systems by the Orions and Zami, with many settlements centuries old.
  • This is the adopted homeworld for the (long ago) transplanted Orions and the center of their empires & culture.
  • Some sources claim this is also known as Kolar, but in SFC-canon, that name belongs to Beta Rigel Xb.
  • Rigel VII shares an orbit with its trojan sister planet, Rigel VI.
  • The Hakel radiation belt emitted by Beta Rigel A provides a "green zone" environment for all the planets—including those in orbit of Beta Rigel BC—with the exception of Rigel I and the asteroid belt situated in the orbit just beyond it.
