Torek

Torek was a vice admiral in the diaspora fleet abandoning Vulcan for a new homeworld in 369. He served as a deputy to Admiral Debrune in the rear of the migration, assisting in the administration of mismatched and straggling vessels.

At some point (before 453), Debrune ordered the remainder of the stragglers split into two groups, one led by Torek. This flotilla would invade Rigel V in 453, forming a permanent settlement and society initially referred to as the V'gelnians—their demonym for the planet they named—and then the Zami.
