Joint Chiefs of Staff
The Joint Chiefs of Staff comprise the senior most admirals and generals of Star Fleet each responsible for their respective components, but also, as the JCS for advising the Commander, Star Fleet, the office of the Secretary of Star Fleet and the Federation President on Star Fleet matters. The Joint Chiefs constitute the second-highest deliberatory body for defense policy, after the Federation Security Council.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff is chaired by the Vice Commander, Star Fleet and its members include the Chief of Staff (Star Fleet), and heads of the following Star Fleet components: Star Fleet Operations, Star Fleet Ground Attack Marines, Intelligence, Strategic Operations, Support Operations, Research, Manpower, Medical, Resources & Administration.
The JCS is a PC organization, made up of the PCs indicated above. One function they perform is discussing the available funding for the forthcoming year.
