Unifying in the seventeenth century after eras of feudal warfare, the Draylax Clad is now a peaceful, democratic society of feline humanoids. Despite their harsh, jungle-covered homeworld teeming with deadly wildlife, the inhabitants thrive in close-knit communities and utilize the dangerous environment for rigorous coming-of-age survival rituals. Having transitioned from hereditary clan rule to an elected planetary government, Draylax has cultivated significant wealth and commerce due to its strategic position along the major Vega-Draylax trade route.[1]
History
- 1643: Draylaxian society unifies into the Draylax Sovereign Clad, a democratic unitary council state.[1]
- Between 2239 and 2250: The Draylaxians and Tarl make radio contact with each other.[2]
- 01 May 2160: Romulans attack Draylax, using a warp-speed kamikaze run, causing massive fires and volcanic eruptions all over the planet. Over a billion Draylaxians are killed, and more deaths are expected.[4]
- 2340: The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Draylax. The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Denobula.[5][6]
