History

• 2143: Humans from Earth establish a scientific colony.

• 2267: The Federation dispatches Assistant Commissioner Nancy Hedford here to prevent the outbreak of war, but she is prematurely evacuated for personal medical reasons.

It is presumed the conflict is between the native Canarans on Adhara III and the Human colonists of Adhara IV.

• 2292: The long years of war here are ended thanks to the determined mediation of Ambassador Alexandra Tremontaine and diplomat Aidan Burgess.

The novels The Fire and the Rose and The Sundered indicate the war was over by 2293, so I'm setting it to the year prior.

• 2319: The colony joins the Federation.

They were still independent in the late 23rd century, but a member by 2378. I presume they join as a colony, unless they've achieved post-colonial status.
