- This is the original homeworld of the Kaylar, though they have been spread throughout the Rigellian systems by the Orions and Zami, with many settlements centuries old.
- This is the adopted homeworld for the (long ago) transplanted Orions and the center of their empires & culture.
- Some sources claim this is also known as Kolar, but in SFC-canon, that name belongs to Beta Rigel Xb.
- Rigel VII shares an orbit with its trojan sister planet, Rigel VI.
- The Hakel radiation belt emitted by Beta Rigel A provides a "green zone" environment for all the planets—including those in orbit of Beta Rigel BC—with the exception of Rigel I and the asteroid belt situated in the orbit just beyond it.
