Summary
- The Starfleet transport and scout fleets are decimated in the post-war period. The remaining force is biased towards single-purpose offensive units of scant strategic value and the once considerable Vulcan and Andorian strength are depleted, in practice leaving humans alone to hold the dented shield and sword.[1]
- Late decade: Starfleet has a frigate design philosophy where trans-atmospheric and interstellar capability can be achieved via modularity.[2]
