• November: USS Atlas (Vanguard class) is lost shortly after entering service.

Date (month & year) is conjecture. The Atlas was destroyed in a covert Romulan attack shortly after the introduction of the Vanguard class. But, because of travel time, this may need to be postponed..

• November: SS Muleskinner, an ore carrier, is lost.

The Muleskinner was captured by Romulans.

• Novermber 12: The IGS Yasakai (Kumari class) is lost, due to a catastrophic failure of the antimatter streaming technology of the warp engine.

• A Fleet Requirement is issued for a ship class that would provide a general focus on scientific issues.
