Background: Continuing Mission

Overview: Filling a similar role to the 23rd century Ptolemy-class tug, the post-war Wallenberg class was selected for rapid mass production, so that the Federation could support the evacuation of settlements too near the Romulan supernova. While some ships of this class did begin working on evacuation operations, the 2385 attacks on Mars saw most of those under construction destroyed and thus a sudden end to Star Fleet’s participation in that aid program.

Capabilities: The strength of the large Wallenberg class is its ability to quickly and safely swap the standardized modular pods on its ventral attachment port, between the warp nacelles, giving it great flexibility and a huge capacity. The two most common modules are for passengers and general cargo.
