Historical Events

• The last of the Ottawa subclass of the Hercules transports enters service with the UESN.

• The first of the Karakorum subclass of the Hercules transports enters service with the UESN.

The date of first service is assumed to follow the acceptance of the last Ottawa.

• Type III cargo modules were introduced for use in the mining industry, and construction of several tug types initiated.
