Historical Events

• 01 January: A major shift occurs in Earth's global economy.

• The last of the TAU series of vessels is retired.

• The Utopia Planitia Base (predecessor to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards) is founded, due to the relative success of the New Berlin colony on Luna.

This establishes a base; a shipyard would be founded on the base in 2090.

• Current members of the NUN agree to the United Earth Defense Pact, a promise to put Earth's ascendancy and safety ahead of national goals.

• The United States turns over all NASA and ISA operations to UESPA.

• The United Earth Stellar Navy (UESN) is formed from the split of the International Space Agency into two parts (the second being the United Earth Space Probe Agency). UESN ships are re-designated as UES (for United Earth Ship).

• Following negotiations with the NUN, the ASD and TASA space agencies turn over all militarized space vessels, as well as command and control assets, to the UESN in exchange for a number of aging mining ships.

• The DY-500 Wheeler transport series is introduced.

• UESN Tycho Base is commissioned (in Tycho City).

The date is conjecture, but has to occur prior to 2143; presumed to have assisted in the early development of the city.
