Historical Events

  • As it nears formal completion, the Memory Alpha complex is heavily disrupted, and all personnel killed, during an assault by the Zetarians.[1]
The 2269 date is a best guess. The source indicates they were the last of three systems to rejoin the Federation in the 2260s, and TOS: "Amok Time" indicates three starships visited upon the occasion of the inauguration of the new president in 2267, which reportedly stabilized the area. The presumption is the system rejoined after a brief period of reformation.
  • USS Enterprise (NCC-1701, Constitution class) hunts down and forces the surrender of the Orion murderers of four of the crew of the Honor subclass transport USS Huron (NCC-F1913).[4]
  • The eight surviving Amchitkas are placed on ‘active standby’ (i.e., idling on core world piers with minimal supervision crews), until converted in 2285.[5]
  • USS Enterprise accidentally enters an interspatial anomaly in the Delta Triangle region and locates the derelict USS Bonaventure (NX-B1) among hundreds of other lost spacecraft of varying origin. Enterprise is unable to contact nor rescue the test vehicle.[6]
  • The last of all the Thunderbolt sub-classes is de-commissioned, though some Battleaxes would continue in service with the Federation Customs Service into the 2310s.[7]
  • The 2265 upgrade period for the Surya subclass heavy frigates completes.[8]
  • Persistent reports of the lack of Organian interference of Klingon aggression are made by Star Fleet captains, from this year through 2284.[9]
  • July 12th: CDR Paul Burch and a supporting team steal USS Star Empire before her completion, resulting in the exposure of a major conspiracy in the ranks of Star Fleet.[9]
  • Late year: The last Ranger sub-class light cruiser, USS Duncan (NCC-793), is retired.[10]

New Technology

May not be canon, if previous eras reasonably utilized the configuration
