Sannah Delacroix
Sannah C. Delacroix was an officer assigned to USS Giotto (NCC-19847, Fermi subclass surveyor), when the ship's status was threatened by the devolving front lines in the conflict with the Cardassians. The crew was able to destroy two Malaki patrol boats and one Gondori tanker and disable one heavily damaged and nearly derelict Galor Type II cruiser in three separate combat engagements during her four-month flight back to Federation space. The luring of a Velgan class frigate into a minefield near Maynard’s Meadow led to yet another, although uncredited, combat victory for the ship.
However, as a result of extensive damage in the Cellari Ambush on 2355, they were forced to jettison their ventral pod, support pylons, warp nacelles, and impulse power and conduct an emergency planetary landing on Cellari III, where they were marooned for two months. Lieutenant Delacroix assumed the duties of the unit's commanding officer (at some point in the experience) and was decorated with the Star Fleet Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry and the Karagite Order for Heroism, as a result.[1]
