History

• Early 2100s: First Vulcan exploration of the system.

• November 08, 2155: The newly-operational Starbase 1 and the Vulcan science outpost on Berengaria VII are obliterated by 2 squadrons of Romulan fighters that avoided notice by the system's Vulcan warp detection system.. USS Discovery, responding to the outpost's automated distress signal, is lost when the Romulans blind her sensors with nuclear weapons. The crew is able to transmit the attackers' details as they abandoned ship.
