Mission Statement
The International Space Agency (ISA) acts as a conduit for peaceful, cooperative and international space activities by the major space nations of Earth. It assists in the planning, development, promotion and administration in the area of government, commercial, scientific, academic and defense space efforts to the common benefit of all.
The corporate conglomerations that had developed in the post-Dinyan-Yoyodyne era as cooperative efforts between governments and corporations were largely responsible for the establishment of the International Space Agency (ISA) by the New United Nations (NUN) in 2018, to help coordinate and elicit cooperation from the slightly-reticent national space services.
History
- 2018: The NUN creates the International Space Agency (ISA), an effort intended to coordinate combined national space exploration and safe operation and transit of commercial vessels.[1]
- 2053: Following the collapse of the NUN in the final stages of World War III, the United States takes administrative control of the International Space Agency.[2]
- 2069: The ISA is split into two different entities, the United Earth Space Probe Agency and the United Earth Stellar Navy; all assets are divvied between them according to mission need.[3][4]
