History
- Early 18th century: The Deltans achieve spaceflight.[2]
- Modified from the original "early 19th century".
- Star Trek Service Records Simulator indicates it was the first colony, so SFC places it before the exploration of Delta II.
- 1896: The first Deltan warp-vessels encountered the Ghanods, the nearest sentient neighbors to Delta IV.[2]
- 1898: The Deltans are forced to break off contact with the Ghanods due to the "sexual madness" impact of the Deltan pheromones.[2][3]
- 2262: The Federation makes first contact with the Deltan Union.[2]
- 2266: The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Delta IV.[5]
- I decided it had to happen before 2273's V'Ger incident.
- 2376: Two Iconian gateways open up in the vicinity of Carrea and Delta IV, both leading to an uninhabited resource-rich world that both worlds desire.[6]
- 2380: The Deltans allow Carrea to establish a scientific base on Brannik IV in exchange for a water reclamation system on Delta IV.[6]
