Location: Beta Rigel
Names: Rigel II, Beta Rigel A II, Mokalar
History
- About 37,720 BCE: The Second Orion Empire settles the planet, with Kaylar slaves.[1]
- Prior to 2165: The planet is settled by the Chelarians of Beta Rigel III, who work with the native Kaylars to develop the planet as an agricultural world.[2]
- This probably occurred not too much earlier (no more than a few hundred years at most).
- 2221: On a patrol mission out of the planet's Fleet outpost, USS Nestor (Bloodhound corvette) witnesses a rendezvous between an Orion transport convoy and a Klingon destroyer, revealing the trade relations between the governments.[3]
- Since the Chelarians have not yet joined the UFP, the Fleet outpost may have been something arranged as a joint effort, like with Deep Space Nine. Maybe this was a Deep Space outpost.
- 2275: The Chelarians (with both Beta Rigel II and III) join the United Federation of Planets.[4]
