Historical Events
- As it nears formal completion, the Memory Alpha complex is heavily disrupted, and all personnel killed, during an assault by the Zetarians.[1]
- USS Enterprise (NCC-1701, Constitution heavy cruiser) hunts down and forces the surrender of the Orion murderers of four of the crew of the Honor subclass transport USS Huron (NCC-F1913).[2]
- The eight surviving Amchitkas are placed on ‘active standby’ (i.e., idling on core world piers with minimal supervision crews), until converted in 2285.[3]
- USS Enterprise accidentally enters an interspatial anomaly in the Delta Triangle region and locates the derelict USS Bonaventure (NX-B1) among hundreds of other lost spacecraft of varying origin. Enterprise is unable to contact nor rescue the test vehicle.[4]
- The last of all the Thunderbolt sub-classes is de-commissioned, though some Battleaxes would continue in service with the Federation Customs Service into the 2310s.[5]
- Persistent reports regarding the lack of Organian interference towards Klingon aggression are made by Star Fleet captains, from this year through 2284.[7]
- Hopi class large survey cruiser USS Aliquippa disappears into the Delta Triangle; only one (manned) long-range shuttle from her complement is recovered.[8]
- Construction begins on the first Mk II variant of the Mo'Kal class light fleet tug.[9]
- The three export Achernar heavy cruisers XXS Naxu Thain, XXS Tezanha and XXS Sathiyaxa, previously sold to the Xindi, are reacquired by Star Fleet and renamed USS John F. Kennedy, USS Tao Feng and USS Surak, respectively.[10]
- Late year: The last Ranger light cruiser, USS Duncan (NCC-793), is retired.[11]
