Historical Events

  • January 01: The Starfleet Corps of Engineers is considered to have been founded on this date, by a team of engineers building Starbase 1.[1]
The date of January 1 is completely symbolic, but the team did self-name prior to the base's destruction.
  • February 8: Starbase 1 opens for operations.[1]
Dates regarding Starbase 1 occur one year earlier than in Federation: The First 150 Years and on Memory Beta, due to the other wartime actions that follow (as presented by Timo).
  • The period of (only) clandestine attacks against non-Romulan shipping comes to an end and the great offensive towards the heartspace of Earth and its allies begins. The first punitive missions against the Romulans are mounted.[2][3]
  • Attacks against Earth colonies are generally seen as the beginning of the official Romulan War.[2]
  • March 11: The Romulans order Terrans out of the Algeron system (the location of Starbase 1) via subspace radio.[4]
  • May 18: Starbase 1 is lost in a long-reaching Romulan attack.[5][4]
  • The third ship of the Enterprise class is launched.[6]
The assumption of the year is based on there being four in existence by the Romulan War.
