Astronomical Data

Names

  • Star: Delta Orcus, Toredar
  • Planets:
    • Axanar

Planetary Bodies

  • Planets (first tier)
    • Moons (second tier to orbited planet)

History

  • 2241:
    • June 5th: USS Bonhomme Richard (NCC-476, Kovaris class), returning from Babel escort assignment, recovers the recorder marker for USS Gulliver (NCC-I824, Sawyer class), evidently destroyed violently while on assignment to Axanar.[2]
    • July 9th: USS Xenophon (NCC-558, Marklin class) is damaged in a dockside explosion at Starbase 12.[2]
    • July 12th: CAPT Garth of Izar, formerly commanding officer of USS Xenophon (NCC-558, Marklin class), is re-assigned to USS Constitution (NCC-1700, Constitution class), and ordered to Axanar to assess the situation, along with Baton Rouge class cruisers Connecticut and Saint Louis.[2]
    • August: USS Bonhomme Richard (NCC-476, Kovaris class) is decommissioned.[2]
    • August 22nd: USS Constitution (NCC-1700, Constitution class) approaches Axanar, when the planet declares independence from the UFP and three Klingon destroyers assume an intercept course; Constitution sends out a Code One call for help.[2]
    • August 29th: A Klingon task force engages the Star Fleet task force at Axanar; two Baton Rouge cruisers and four Saladin destroyers from Starbase 12 arrive to allow a Federation victory.[2]
  • between 2241 and September 2245: The Second Battle of Axanar, with another Klingon defeat and the suicide of Admiral Kkorhetza, commander of the Klingon expedition.[2]
  • September 2245: Final Battle of Axanar, where the battered USS Constitution and three of her half-finished sisters are moved to the forward repair base in orbit of the planet as a lure.[2]

Important Locations

  • A war with the Klingons will be decided based in part by the results of a battle associated with the planet Axanar.

Notes

  • The Second Battle of Axanar occurs some point between the First Battle of Axanar (August 2241) and the Final Battle of Axanar (September 2245).[2]
  • Per game canon, Constitution fought at Axanar (at least) twice: initially, while commanded by Garth, and then again, as a lure, for Final Axanar (2245). Constitution, Enterprise, Horizon, and Republic are transferred to the forward repair base to either continue to be "repaired" (Constitution) or "completed" (the remainder), when in actuality, all four had been commissioned months earlier and the intent was to lure the Klingon forces into a battle for which they were unprepared.
