History
- Unknown: It is theorized that settlers from Cait founded the Draleph colony, with ties broken at some point.[1]
- 2240: The Regulans are encountered by the Federation when a Star Fleet ship is accidentally destroyed by them while making first contact. However, the arrival of the tolerant aliens short-circuits a long civil war between the various planets.[2]
- Year is game-canon, to support later UFP ship production assets. Regulans, genetically identical to Caitians, were spread out over several colony worlds, with no subspace communications (though with FTL ships). Star Fleet survivors of the attack vouch for the Regulans' true intentions.
- 2243: With the peaceful resolution of the Regulan civil war, the Regulan Trade Alliance is formed around Regulus V and its thirteen former colonies.[2]
- 2243: The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Regulus V.[1][3]
