- My original intention was that this cruiser would be a successor of the T’Khut class combat cruiser, but Enterprise episode "Breaking the Ice" indicates it was operational as early as 2136, when Captain Vanik assumed command of Ti'Mur. However, it would work that they were developed as science vessels and some were built/upgraded to become combat cruisers, as tensions with the Andorians deepened.
