History
- unknown: Due to the extreme compatibility/similarity of Centauran and Human DNA, as well as being the closest star systems to each other, there is a strong hypothesis that Alpha Centauri Prime was settled by Humans before the planet's recorded history.[1]
- 1860: The Plague Wars begin when one of two competing city-state alliances on Alpha Centauri Prime releases biological weapons on the other.[2]
- The year is uncertain, but it "lasted over a decade"[3]
- 1871: An Emergency Medical Council comprised of an international team of scientists and doctors develops an effective antiviral agent and vaccine for the plagues sweeping Alpha Centauri Prime.[3]
- 1876: The discoverer of the plague vaccine, Dr. Kulei Asephas, is convinced to become the first global president of Alpha Centauri Prime of what will (eventually) become the Concordium of Planets.[3][4]
- Prior to 2045: Earth-launched probes do a flyby scan of the system, sending back data supporting possible life.[1]
- 12 May 2065: Earth explorer UNSS Icarus arrives in the system and begins a 13-month visit with the inhabitants.[5][1]
- 2091: The Proxima Centauri colony is officially founded by the Earth Conestoga colonizer Spirit.[6]
- 2098: Zefram Cochrane relocates from Earth to Oreas on Alpha Centauri Prime.[1]
- 2155: Alpha Centauri, Andor, Earth, Tellar, Vulcan, and minor worlds (including Axanar and Kaferia) approve a first draft agreement for an alliance to be formed for trade, cultural exchange, and mutual protection.[7]
- 2161: The governments of Alpha Centauri, Andor, Earth, Tellar, and Vulcan sign the Articles of the Federation; Alpha Centauri joins the United Federation of Planets.
- 2217: Tritanium-hulled ship construction, including that of the Ranger and Triumphant sub-classes, begins in the Procyon and Alpha Centauri systems.[8]
- Prior to 2231: Star Fleet decides to provide five transportable drydocks to Alpha Centauri to begin immediate production on the Rochester class cruisers.[9]

Notes
- Founding member of the UFP.
- Alpha Centauri AB I has a science station in orbit; in 2365, USS Odyssey assisted the station in remaining in orbit.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB II has a science station in orbit.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB V may have moons with small colonies.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB VI may have moons with small colonies.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB VII may have moons with small colonies; it also has a Star Fleet Academy nebula range, due to outgassing.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB VIII may have moons with small colonies.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB IX may have moons with small colonies.[2]
- Alpha Centauri AB X may have moons with small colonies.[2]
