Historical Events

  • January 1: The Romulans raid Defense Outpost 4 and the UESS Carronade (ND-601, Cavalry light phase gun destroyer) barely survives the encounter. The identification evidence is initially mistranslated.[1]
  • February: Twenty Clark class 'space tanks are assembled above Vega.[2]
  • The explorer UESS Enterprise (NX-01) encounters a Rihannsu wide patrol in the process of fortifying a recent conquest at Theta Eridani (though their identity is unknown at the time).[3]
  • The Messier fleet is called closer to Earth, so that the aged cruisers can be upgraded into useful combatants.[3]
  • The first truly efficient combat fit is made to the Ganges class of destroyers during upgrades.[4]
  • Due in large part to the number of battles the explorer UESS Enterprise (NX-01) has been involved in, all unarmed exploration vessels (including those of UESPA), are hastily recalled over the next two years.[5]
  • The last select Djartanna class destroyers have glass bead emitters installed, in lieu of the shuttlepod berth.[6]
  • The third ship of the Edison class enters service with the UESF.[7]
  • Deserted Weytahn is re-occupied by Andorian forces, prompting a military reply by Vulcan. An ownership agreement for the Andorians is mediated by Earth. [8][9]
  • Construction begins on what will be the first of the Strachan light torpedo destroyer subclass.[1]
