History

  • Prior to 2135: A Human colony is established on New Aberdeen.[1]
This does not preclude another species or explain the presence of the Humans; that still remains to be decided for game-canon, but definitely occurs prior to 2231. The Humans choose to remain independent of Earth.
  • 2135: The HMS New Zealand is sent to the New Aberdeen colony on a diplomatic mission from Earth.[2]
  • 2216: New Aberdeen becomes a UFP member/colony.[3]
  • 2224: Funding for the Archon subclass heavy cruiser is canceled, placing the completion of the USS Gjöa, in the Rapier ship yards, on indefinite hold.[4]
  • Prior to 2231: Star Fleet decides to provide five transportable drydocks to New Aberdeen to begin immediate production on the Rochester class cruisers.[1]
  • 2268: The Vulcans sponsor the construction of two Defender class battleships, the USS M’Hasien and USS S’Harien at New Aberdeen.[5]
