Historical Events

  • Early: The Battle of Rigel sees the Federation repel a Dominion attack on the United Rigel Colonies.[1]
  • Early: The Massacre of New Beijing sees Jem'Hadar troops killing all colonists on the planet, with one exception.[2]
  • The Romulans are authorized by the Bajorans to construct a field hospital on the moon Derna.[4]
  • The Romulans are forced to remove plasma weaponry they installed on the Bajoran moon of Derna.[4]
  • Estimations propose some 8,500 unidentified space vessels, ranging from mundane smugglers to advanced alien voyagers way out of Star Fleet’s league, are trespassing Federation space at any given time. Similarly, a re-estimation of 23rd century figures presume it was closer to 1,200-1,400 trespassers at that time, taking into account those visitors not detectable by the technology of the era.[5]
  • The Maegline Tellarites utilize soil revitalization technology that inadvertently creates an electronic-dampening duonetic field; Star Fleet provides an SCE team to assist.[6]
  • The Prometheus multi-vector cruiser class enters fully-authorized production.[7]
  • August: The Breen attack Star Fleet Headquarters in San Francisco, California, Earth.[9]
  • August: The alliance suffers egregious losses in their defeat at the Second Battle of Chin'toka.[9]
  • August: The Battle of Rashanar ends with all ships (Breen, Cardassian, Dominion, Federation, Klingon, and Romulan) destroyed, and zero survivors.[10]The Battle of Rashanar ends with all ships (Breen, Cardassian, Dominion, Federation, Klingon, and Romulan) destroyed and zero survivors.[10]
  • August: A Cardassian rebellion is born. Led by Legate Damar, it is an attempt to drive Dominion and Breen forces from the Union.[9]
  • August: Klingon Chancellor Gowron is challenged to a duel due to his mismanagement of the war and killed by Worf. Martok succeeds him.[11][12]
  • November: USS Sao Paulo (NCC-75633, Defiant class escort) is re-commissioned USS Defiant.[7]
  • November: Grand Nagus Zek names Rom as his successor. [7]
  • November: The Battle of the Three Suns: The Federation alliance plans a major offensive on multiple fronts: Chin'toka, Daxura, and Zhamur. The plan works best in the Zhamur system and the Federation completes its control of the Kalandra Sector. [7]
  • November: The Federation, Klingon, and Romulan Alliance attack during the Battle of Cardassia. Cardassian forces turn on the Dominion at a crucial point in the battle; the Dominion attempts to respond with the absolute eradication of the Cardassian people. An early casualty estimation puts the Cardassian dead at eight hundred million.[13]
  • November: The Dominion War ends with the Treaty of Bajor. It includes the complete withdrawal of Dominion forces from the Alpha quadrant and the return of all Dominion-occupied Alpha quadrant territory to its previous sovereign powers. The Breen-Dominion Alliance ends and the Cardassians return to being an autonomous power.[14]
