History
- 1529: The Vegan Tyranny attacks Rigel VII, causing the destruction of the advanced Orion culture there, resulting in a return to barbarism.[3]
- Apparently, a small enclave of Vegans survived on Vega III.
- 2143: Humans establish Vega Colony amid the Vegan ruins.[4][6]
- The source indicates that the "peoples of Delta III" had colonized there first, but that would mean Humans had met the Deltans prior to the official first contact in 2262, over a century later.
- By 2145: The Earth Cargo Service operates a trade route between Earth, Draylax, and Vega Colony.[2][6]
- 2145: The newly-established Vegan Commerce Authority opens the Vega Anchorage station as a cargo waypoint, in the orbital plane of Vega IX.[2]
- April 4 2163: Federation Council President Thomas Vanderbilt finalizes a trade agreement with the Global League of Lyaksti'kton and the Kingdom of M'Tezir (both of Sauria) on Vega Colony.[7]
- 2164: Vega Colony joins the United Federation of Planets.[8]
- 2268: The Starnes Expedition, a party of archeologists on Vega Colony, are all fatally poisoned (with the exception of the children) by a malevolent entity, the last of its kind.[10]

Notes
- This was the homeworld of the Vegans and their Vegan Tyranny.
- All references to Vega IX or Vega IXa as "Triacus" are removed. In SFC, Triacus is its own system approximately 15 lightyears from Earth and 21 from Vega.
