Theta VIII was a planet hosting the site of an unknown alien program to care for the stranded Human astronaut Stephen Richey, at some point after his apparent abduction in 2036, until his natural death. Debris from his TAU extrasolar exploration vessel, the Charybdis, was discovered in the atmosphere of the planet in 2365.[1][2]

- The planet is referred to as "Theta VIII" in the episode, while its parent system is "Theta 116".
