Star Fleet Administration
As each component, office, department, and branch have the means the administrate the area of their particular focus, Star Fleet has no need for a large umbrella bureaucracy. However, the footprint of such an organization still exists and serves as the authority over various fields of interest that are not necessarily under the direct auspices of any of the preceding divisions.
The Chief of Star Fleet Administration is an Admiral, while the Deputy Chief of Star Fleet Administration is a Vice Admiral.

- Office of Central Administration: Rather than perform as the grand database of all information concerning and about Star Fleet, this office is charged with more of the technical side of maintaining that information, providing the doctrines, procedures, and structure that guide the informational databases of the rest of the fleet. As Star Fleet upgrades its technical abilities, this office develops, tests, and promulgates those standards. Central Administration is led by a Rear Admiral. Note: where the Chief of Star Fleet Administration is often referred to as "Chief Administrator," the commander of this subordinate office is referred to as "Central Administrator."
- The Office of Colonial Affairs manages the initial efforts and support of (official) Federation colonies by coordinating with the appropriate Star Fleet offices and will, when requested, provide similar support for member and unofficial Federation colonies. The office is led by a Rear Admiral.
- The Office of First Contact, led by a Rear Admiral, establishes minimum standards for first contact (of new warp capable cultures) and coordinates efforts with Star Fleet and Federation Department of Interstellar Relations.
- The Office of Planetary Affairs is the point of contact for member worlds -in their interactions with Star Fleet- to include installations, ship visits and requests of the fleet. The office does not control any assets, but does work as a liaison with the other appropriate fleet offices. Planetary Affairs is commanded by a Rear Admiral.
- Memory Prime Liaison Office: Led by a Captain, this archival program synchronizes, categorizes, and makes available all of Star Fleet's unclassified information to the Federation's Memory series of archives.
The Chief of Star Fleet Administration is a PC and handles the budget decisions for his component. He also handles the responsibilities of the five offices.
The Deputy Chief of Star Fleet Administration, as well as the commanding officers of the five offices, is a named NPC.
