Historical Events

• The last Ganges serving under the Federation Star Fleet flag are grounded at colonial starports, never to be reactivated.

• The last of the Athens class couriers are retired from colonial duty.

• USS Gobi (NCC-909, Texas class) sails out with auxiliary survey cruisers Minotaur (NAR-24) and Alesia (NAR-23), support cruiser Cryghton (NCC-122, Almeida class) and the elderly scout T’Khian (NCC-75) on an exploration cruise towards the Taurus nebula.

• Star Fleet purchases two existing Infinity starliners, commissioning them as Bryne class hospital ships, and ordering the construction of five more.

• In a mandate from the Federation Council, Star Fleet is now required to perform the duties of defense, research, charting and maintenance of space lanes, Federation-wide law enforcement and support of civilian space traffic. In response, a wide variety of civilian vessels are drafted for support and maintenance roles.

• The final Anansi subclass (of the Ariadne) dispatch corvette is completed.

The years of production are mostly conjecture.

• The last Thofsin class cruiser is decommissioned.

• The Class B4 / HSA(P)-32 'Big Sioux' heavy atmospheric shuttle enters service with Star Fleet.

• The final Class C2 / TP-213 travel pod is retired from service with the Earth Fleet.

• The final Class D1 / K36 light atmospheric/spatial shuttle pod is retired from service with Star Fleet.

• The Federation Council establishes the Preantares Ribbon of Commendation in "[r]ecognition of heroic acts performed in the service of saving the life/lives of a Federation citizen(s) through peaceful efforts."
