Erica Barreuco

Erica Barreuco (2205 – 2311) was a Human politician who served as the [[Federation Presidents |15th President]] of the United Federation of Planets from January 1st, 2254 to April 4th, 2258. Her administration is primarily remembered for presiding over the outbreak of the Federation-Klingon War (2256 – 2257) and the subsequent strategic and political upheavals that ended the "Golden Age" of Archerite politics. On April 4, 2258, after a searing indictment by her former ally Byss Th'Rhalat, she became one of the few presidents in Federation history to lose a vote of no confidence. She was ultimately defeated in the ensuing special election by Th'Rhalat, marking a decisive shift toward the more militarized and interventionist Federation policy of the 2260s.
