- The final Tshin class sublight gunboat is manufactured.[1]
- 09 February: UNSS Hector arrives in the Arcturus system (after 58 years of sublight travel) and is greeted by crewmembers of her sister Columbus ships, as well as Arcturians and Vulcans.[2][3]
- The ship is eventually mothballed in the Arcturian system, with the crew delivered home via a warp ship.
- March: A scheduled transport returns two-thirds of the UNSS Hector crew to Earth (from Arcturus).[2]
- Vulcans first explore Berengaria VII.[4]

- December: A scheduled transport returns the remaining members of the UNSS Hector crew to Earth (from Arcturus).[2]
