1996
Historical Events
- The last of twenty interplanetary missions are launched from Earth, mostly to Mars, from 1993.[1]
- Khanton falls, with Khan Singh and a handful of followers escaping undiscovered on a DY-100 they had held in reserve.[1]
- The Great Khanate's Mars colony fails.[1]
- The time of failure is assumed, as a factor of early state of dependence for sustainability from the Great Khanate, which had recently fallen.
- Two dozen DY series craft (and associated launch equipment) are recovered by the Earth's superpowers on the ground. The USAF and RRKS currently operate the only active spacecraft (2 and 1, respectively; both DY series), while six abandoned Chinese vessels are left in orbit and are later recovered.[1]
