How to find Earth-like planets with life

  1. Open the 'Star browser'
  2. Type some reasonable range for the 'Search radius' field (such as 100 or 300)
  3. Click on 'Filter settings'
  4. In the 'Object Parameters' section:
    1. Select 'Temperate' from the left drop-down menu and 'Terra' from the right one.
    2. Select 'Unicel. or multicel.' from the bottom-left drop down menu labeled "Organic life"
    3. Click on 'Ok'
  5. Click on 'Search' (if necessary)
  6. Once the app reports all of the found stars:
    1. Select the Filter tab so that numbers greater than 0 are at the top
    2. Select a system that reports numerals in the 'Life' and 'Filter' columns
    3. Click on 'Go to'
    4. Once you arrive at the system, select the F2 key, to get the 'Planetary system' grid visible
    5. Right click on the green labeled objects, to drill down through the planetary systems, until you find the life-providing planet
    6. Manipulate the perspective angle by dragging with the right-click.
