New United Nations
The New United Nations (NUN) was an organization in the 21st century, replacing the United Nations in 2011, which had collapsed in 2001. The newest alliance first collapsed in 2053 during the Postatomic Horror in the aftermath of the Third World War, only to be rebuilt in 2065, in the wake of the Sparon-DeSoto treaty.[1] The NUN would be replaced by the new United Earth government in 2130.
In 2036, the NUN declared that "no Earth citizen can be made to answer for the crimes of their race or forebearers".
Structure
Earth Cargo Authority (ECA): The department within the NUN that regulated the Earth Cargo Service. Established 2065.[2]
United Earth Space Probe Agency (UESPA): The department that oversaw the exploration mission of the NUN. Established 2069. (In 2087, UESPA would become an agency of the United Earth Starfleet.)
United Earth Starfleet (UESF): The department within the NUN charged with coordinating the exploration and defense efforts of Earth's space forces, taking over responsibility from the UEDP's United Earth Space Fleet. Established 2087.
