Erica Barreuco (2205 – 2311) was a Human politician who served as the 15th President of the United Federation of Planets from January 1st, 2254 to April 4th, 2258. Her administration is primarily remembered for presiding over the outbreak of the Federation-Klingon War (2256 – 2257) and the subsequent strategic and political upheavals that ended the "Golden Age" of Archerite politics. On April 4, 2258, after a searing indictment by her former ally Byss Th'Rhalat, she became one of the few presidents in Federation history to lose a vote of no confidence. She was ultimately defeated in the ensuing special election by Th'Rhalat, marking a decisive shift toward the more militarized and interventionist Federation policy of the 2260s.
