Vega Anchorage was a cargo station located in the orbital plane of Vega IX and operated by the Vegan Commerce Authority (VCA). The station was first constructed in the 2120s in order to simplify the unloading of cargo from Earth Cargo Service vessels traveling from Earth. Since the anchorage is at the termination of the Vegan Trade Route, the station also has the distinction of being (as of 2145) the farthest point of Human space expansion.[1][2]
