  • Germanium: used in transistors
  • Golside: ore with unknown uses
  • Magnesite: used in warp drive reactors (as a form of protection from antimatter radiation) & hulls and can be used to interfere with certain types of scans and energy beams, including the transporter
  • Nitrium: widely used in the construction of Federation starships and warp reactors; can be found in asteroids
  • Noranium: very common ore used in metal alloys
  • Osmium: used in radiation shielding (such as warp nacelles)
  • Paricium: used in the construction of early space installations (out of favor by 24th c.)
  • Quaratum: used in small amounts as a reaction propellant, as in for thruster packs; susceptible to ignition by radiation
  • Saltzgadum: used as an agricultural sterilization agent (though discontinued as cheaper measures became available)
  • Selgninaem: used as a catalyst in industrial biochemical systems; highly toxic
  • Seofurane: extremely inert substance often used in medical containment
  • Sonodamite: used in the construction of trans-atmospheric hulls (such as shuttlecraft)
  • Terminium: used as hull casing for photon torpedoes
  • Tetraburnium: used in the hulls of trans-atmospheric crafts and probes designed for high pressure and heat (such as in a gas giant)
  • Tetracyanate: used as an industrial lubricant; highly toxic
  • Topaline: a rare mineral critical to the function of life support systems and sometimes used by early spacefarers
  • Toranium: used in the construction of space installations, usually of a military nature

  • Tritanium: when used within an alloy, is a widely-used construction material, such as ship bulkheads
  • Verterium: used in the construction of warp nacelles
  • Victurium: used in starship superstructures, especially those with high sensor capabilities, such as scouts and survey ships

Special Metals

  • Cryonetrium: remains gaseous even at very cold temperatures; used to halt invidium contamination, as well as other (undocumented) uses
  • Dolamide: used as an energy source in power generators, dolamide reactors, transporters, short-range transports and, when highly refined, weaponry
  • Emiristol: used as solid propellant in pre-warp propulsion engines
  • Feldomite: rare commodity with unknown uses
  • Gallicite: rare mineral used in the construction of warp coils; though rare, often found in large deposits
  • Invidium: has many (undocumented) uses, although very dangerous if handled inappropriately; almost permeable substance
  • Kelbonite: refractory mineral capable of deflecting or interfering with certain types of scans and energy beams, including the transporter
  • Ladarium: mineral used in the warp drives of some cultures, including the Cardassians
  • Latinum: rare, non-replicable liquid metal used as currency
  • Mercassium: rare material used (generally only) in construction of Federation shield generators
  • Mizinite: uncommon ore used in the construction of starships
  • Rodinium: very hard, used in construction of spacecraft and fixed installations
  • Ryetalyn: rather rare mineral that is the only known cure for the deadly Rigelian fever
  • Tellerium: used to stabilize matter/antimatter reactions
  • Trellium: a mineral used as insulation against certain anomalies, but causes neural pathways of Vulcans to degrade
  • Trivium: used in the production of artificial ultraviolet light
