Historical Events
- March 17: UNSS Prometheus boosts from Earth orbit for Epsilon Indi.[1]
- April 2nd: UNSS Icarus boosts from Earth orbit for Alpha Centauri A.[1]
- The Guide indicates that the last Columbus series spacecraft to launch was within six months of the launch of the Nautilus, putting it no later than 21 July of this year. However, anything later than May 5th would allow for the cancellation of the flight, due to the loss of the Nautilus on that date. The (above) launch dates are, therefore, conjecture.
- May 5: UNSS Nautilus hits an object in the inner Oort cloud, resulting in complete destruction within days.[1]
- Post-May: The three remaining transiting vessels of the Columbus series are considered to be inevitable losses as communications with each is lost to ion storms.[1]
- Post-May: US Strategic Command takes UNSS Columbus from NASA (though administered by the ISA) and begins adding armaments.[1]
