- Humans on the neighboring Tau Ceti Prime make first contact with the Kaferians.[1]
- The reason for doing so is not yet known, but this may have occurred because the Kaferians achieved spaceflight or the presence of "alien" life on Prime could not go unnoticed on Tau Cetic III.
