Historical Events
- The United States Air Force cancels plans for the launch of its WD-1, a faster-than-light test vehicle.[1]
- The actual statement allows for a launch scheduled for 2055, but canceled beforehand. However, the assumption here is that the craft's development failed to proceed far enough to warrant a launch and it was canceled the targeted year.
- The Eastern Coalition formally becomes a nation, subsuming the member states as political regions and retreats within the haphazard recovery processes that help define the era known as the Post-Atomic Horror.[2]
- The final edition of the Treaty of San Francisco, formalizing the end of World War III, is signed.[3]
- Copernicus City is founded on Luna.
- Year is conjecture, but is presumed to have a college there well before 2078.
