System Templates

These templates represent star systems that have already been generated. The first star represents the primary, while additional stars are listed alphabetically. Therefore, a "BMM system" system will differ from a "MBM system" in that the primary stars are different classes.

New Template

When creating a new system with no surveying of any type, start with the following template:

1. Cut & paste the following code into the blank solar system article.
2. For the infobox code:
1. Name=: This is the most common name for the system, regardless of the time frame of the SFC game.
2. Designation=: the star type(s) and charted location, per the System Designation method, is always displayed here.
3. Class=?: replace the '?' with the letter code for the star class. (See Stellar classification and Help:Star Gallery for guidance.)
4. StarImage=Type # star.png: Replace the '#' with the letter code for the star class. If it is a multiple star system, replace 'Type # star.jpg' with either Binary_system.JPG, Trinary system.JPG or Quadruple system.jpeg.
5. Size: [deprecated]
6. Associated Bodies=: A very short summary of the bodies in the system. (ex:10 planets, numerous moons)
7. Affiliation: use wikilinks.
8. Coordinates: recorded as both Federation and Sector coordinates.
9. Sector: use wikilinks; default to proper name (ex: Terra Nova sector) over numbered sectors.
10. Quadrant: use wikilinks.
3. For the article template:
1. Change the italicized comments accordingly.
2. systemnameIntrasystem: change 'systemname' to the actual system's name; otherwise remove the template tag.
3. : change 'affilliation' to the actual affiliated nation's name; if unaffiliated, remove the category tag.
4. : change '#' to the star class letter (from above infobox).
5. : change '#' to the actual sector located.
6. : remove this category once explored and/or aligned, or if creating a canon/complete system
7. : remove this category if the host sector is known and has a supporting page; otherwise, this category allows for the system to be built and held until later.
4. Save the new article.
