Historical Events

  • February 7th: Contact with Charybdis is lost, following indications from telemetry that the spacecraft is at a velocity 12x that necessary for solar escape (or 1.68% of c).[1]
  • August: Tau Five, the Jacob, launches along the same track as Charybdis, in order to discover what might have happened to that mission.[2]
Month of launch is conjecture.
  • Maersk Space Freight abruptly withdraws from its lease contract with Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, implicitly condemning the DY-130 interplanetary transport.[3]
  • Construction begins on the DY-140 commercial interplanetary transports.[3]
