- Prior to 2165: Beta Rigel II is settled by the Chelarians, who work with the native Kaylars to develop the planet as an agricultural world.[1]
- This probably occurred not too much earlier (no more than a few hundred years at most).
- 2275: The Chelarians (with both Beta Rigel II and III) join the United Federation of Planets.[2]
