System Templates
These templates represent star systems that have already been generated. The first star represents the primary, while additional stars are listed alphabetically. Therefore, a "BMM system" system will differ from a "MBM system" in that the primary stars are different classes.
- A system
- B system
- C (red/infrared star) system
- D system
- F system
- G system
- K system
- M system
- O system
- S (Infrared star) system
- X (X-ray star) system
- Z (Black Hole) system
- Rogue planet (NMA/R)
- Planetary nebula (NMC)
- Small nebula (NMD)
- Large nebula (NME)
- Protostar (NMF)
- Plasma field (NMN)
- Subspace compression (NMR)
- Unusual Item/Interstellar Phenomenon
New Template
When creating a new system with no surveying of any type, start with the following template:
- Cut & paste the following code into the blank solar system article.
- For the infobox code:
- Class=?: replace the '?' with the letter code for the star class. (See Stellar classification and Help:Star Gallery for guidance.)
- StarImage=Type # star.png: Replace the '#' with the letter code for the star class. If it is a multiple star system, replace 'Type # star.jpg' with either Binary_system.JPG, Trinary system.JPG or Quadruple system.jpeg.
- Size: Add in the size, such as Super-giant (I), Giant (III), Main Sequence (V), or Dwarf (VII).
- Associated Bodies=: A very short summary of the bodies in the system. (ex:10 planets, numerous moons)
- Affiliation: use wikilinks.
- Coordinates: recorded as both Federation and Sector coordinates.
- Sector: use wikilinks; default to proper name (ex: Terra Nova sector) over numbered sectors.
- Quadrant: use wikilinks.
- For the article template:
- Change the italicized comments accordingly.
- systemnameIntrasystem: change 'systemname' to the actual system's name; otherwise remove the template tag.
- : change 'affilliation' to the actual affiliated nation's name; if unaffiliated, remove the category tag.
- : change '#' to the star class letter (from above infobox).
- : change '#' to the actual sector located.
- : remove this category once explored and/or aligned, or if creating a canon/complete system
- Save the new article.
