Astronomical Data
Names
- Kolmyri, Proxima, Alpha Centauri C III
Satellites
Natural
- add in wikilinks to surveyed moons here; otherwise either just the names or "None"
Artificial
- Lake Var' shila, Vickers Shipbuilding Group Ltd. (orbital corporate shipyard)
- Proxima Maintenance Yards
- Proxima FY
History
- 2091: The first Proxima Centauri colony is officially founded by Earth's Conestoga colonizer Spirit.[1]
- This is down with the support of the Alpha Centauri Prime government.
Important Locations
- Cochrane City
- Cochrane Institute of Alpha Centauri
- New Samarkand
Notes
- The planet was presumably inaccessible (due to distance) until after first contact with Humans. Early agreements to provide warp technology by Earth and terraforming knowledge by Alpha Centauri Prime led to the granting of the distant world to Earth, establishing a permanent Human presence in the Alpha Centauri system and cementing close ties between the two similar cultures.
