History
- include something here, if only when first surveyed
Important Locations
- list known locations that have game implications (ex: defense bases, depots, etc.); otherwise, "None"
Notes
- This is the "true" Rigel, that represents the Federation's most-rimward position, deep in the Beta Quadrant. Beta Rigel is the far more common system, and is located almost into the "thumb" between the Romulan and Klingon empires.
- The multiple star system is made up of 4 stars, with three subordinate star systems. Rigel B and Rigel C orbit each other, with the Rigel BC system orbiting with Rigel D. Rigel A orbits with Rigel BCD. Rigel A has a star system, as do Rigel BCC and Rigel D.
- Apparently, with the myriad of sources (alpha, beta, and licensed), it is very difficult to concretely determine which worlds are from this system (Beta Orionis) and which are from Beta Rigel. For that reason, I'm presuming any source on "Rigellian" planets will be referring to the more close system, and allowing this more distant system to be constructed whole-cloth.
