Historical Events
- Two of the TAU series vessels are launched on extrasolar exploration missions, with one ending in disaster. The first, Daedalus, launched in early in the year and was lost five months later. The second, Betelgeuze, launched at the end of the year, with protective measures installed. [1]
- The source indicates eight were built, but only describes the missions of three vessels. Since it took five months before Daedalus was lost and that the second ship, Betelgeuze, was protected as a result, it is assumed only two missions launched the first year.
