How to find Earth-like planets with life
- Open the 'Star browser'
- Type some reasonable range for the 'Search radius' field (such as 100 or 300)
- Click on 'Filter settings'
- In the 'Object Parameters' section:
- Select 'Temperate' and 'Terra' in the top two drop-down menus
- Select 'Unicel. or multicel.' from the bottom-left drop down menu
- Click on 'Ok'
- Click on 'Search' (if necessary)
- Once the app reports all of the found stars:
- Select the Filter tab so that numbers greater than 0 are at the top
- Select a system that reports numerals in the 'Life' and 'Filter' columns
- Click on 'Go to'
- Once you arrive at the system, select the F2 key, to get the 'Planetary system' grid visible
- Right click on the green labeled objects, to drill down through the planetary systems, until you find the life-providing planet
